About Peace and Dignity Journeys

Intertribal running: 2004 pic of runners from the Yukon, New Mexico, and central Mexico.

Intercontinental Prayer Run

In the 2024 Peace and Dignity Journeys, participants will embark on a seven-month prayer run from Fairbanks, Alaska, and Tierra del Fuego, Argentina, converging at El Cuaca, Colombia. This journey emphasizes the commitment to prayer, underlining the obligation to strengthen spiritual connections among Indigenous Peoples across Abya Yala(Western Hemisphere) . The runners' dedication transcends geographical boundaries, underscoring the imperative nature of fostering unity and respect among Indigenous Peoples.

The 1992 Peace and Dignity Runners reached Teotihuacan in Central Mexico on October 12, 1992.

Our Philosophy

Indigenous Peoples spearhead the Peace and Dignity Journeys, with its core of ceremonial running transcends beyond an organization. This ancient practice acts as a vital conduit, preserving and revitalizing spiritual and cultural traditions. The essence of the Journeys seamlessly aligns with the broader commitment to fostering intertribal relationships across Abya Yala.
